Here are some common questions asked by our fine jewelry customers:
Q: Why is my ring tight on my finger sometimes and loose other times?
A: When sizing your finger, we take into consideration the fact that your finger size will vary depending on factors, such as diet, exercise, current medications and certainly weather conditions.
Q: How often should I have my fine jewelry checked and cleaned?
A: This varies on your particular lifestyle. Your wedding set that is worn on a daily basis will need attention more often (every six months) than a piece you wear on occasion. We do recommend to avoid having your jewelry on when you use cleaning products, when gardening or heavy lifting, to name a few.
Q: What is the best way to clean my silver jewelry?
A: Use a treated polishing cloth or professional creme type silver polish. Either one works well on all types of sterling silver jewelry. In case you need any, we sell both polishing cloth and jarred jewelry cleaner.
Q: Why does my white gold jewelry have a gold hue to it after I have worn it for a period of time?
A: Gold is naturally yellow and even white gold contains yellow gold components. All fine white gold jewelry requires a process referred to as rhodium plating. It is the finishing touch to all white gold and sterling silver jewelry. It is the reason why new pieces have that unmistakable shine to them.
Q: How do I clean my strand of pearls?
A: With a soft cloth preferably. It is not recommended to use any liquid or cream type solution on your pearls. This will affect the silk they are strung on and can harm the natural luster of the pearl itself. Also, remember when wearing pearls - Last thing on, First thing off!
