Lori Wells
Jewelry Consultant
Lori Wells has been with Abshire & Haylan since our opening in July 2001. Her experience in fine jewelry goes back to 1972 when Lori began her career in a family owned business in Orange County, California. Her father specialized in custom jewelry design until his retirement in 1991. Lori then worked in fine jewelry at a major department store in Orange County until her arrival in Ohio. She strives to give each customer the best service possible and very much enjoys the romance and sentimentality behind the Fine Jewelry business.
Belinda Cate
Goldsmith - Designer
Belinda (Merritt) Cate has been with Abshire & Haylan since September, 2005. She came to the company with over 16 years of experience in the jewelry industry. She received her formal education from Drouhard National Jewelers School (Mansfield, Ohio) and the Gemological Institute of America. Belinda is a Gemological Institute of America Diamonds Graduate and is in the final stages of completing her Graduate Gemologist certification.
In addition, in August 2010, Belinda won the Best in Show honor in the jewelry design contest at the Mid-America Jewelers Association Jewelry Show in Columbus. Belinda loves the challenge and process of being a jeweler with stone setting and custom design as her favorite elements.
